  3.                                 THE HOLY PLACE

  5.          The Holy place  was the larger of the two chambers  of the tabernacle, 
  6. wherein could be  found the altar of incense,  the table of shewbread,  and the 
  7. lampstand.                                                                      
  8.                                                                                 
  9.          Its length was 20 cubits,  its width 10 cubits,  and its height 10 cu- 
  10. bits.  The two  sides to the  north and  to the  south were  made of  boards of 
  11. shittim wood, overlaid with gold.  (For more detail concerning these boards see 
  12. "The Holy of holies.")

  14.          The entrance to the Holy place was closed with a covering like that of 
  15. the outer court,  supported by  five pillars,  covered  with gold,  while their 
  16. "sockets" were of copper (Exodus 26:36,37; 36:37).

  18.          The inside walls of both the  Holy place and  the Holy of holies  were 
  19. draped with woven cloth,  upon which were embroidered cherubim  (Exodus 26:1-6; 
  20. 36:8-13).
